I discovered my passion for ceramics during my studies at Arts University Plymouth, where I completed a Master’s degree in Painting (2024). Working with clay opened up a new dimension in my practice, allowing me to explore form, texture, and surface in ways that extended beyond the canvas. The intersection between ceramics, printmaking, and painting opens up many possibilities—especially around surface, repetition, texture, and image transfer.
My work is influenced by my global travels and my Slovak heritage, and reflects an ongoing dialogue with place, community, and identity. At its core, my practice engages with urgent themes: the fragility of existence, the rituals of everyday life, our relationship with the environment, and the impact of climate change. Through a tactile, process-led approach, I aim to foster reflection, connection, and a deeper awareness of the interwoven threads between humanity and the earth.
Working across painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and photography, I embrace both traditional techniques and sustainable materials. Much of my inspiration comes from old, disappearing crafts and methods—echoes of a slower, more connected way of life.
