Help Us Rain Proof The Roof

WHO ARE WE:

Established in 2000 by former staff and students of Plymouth College of Art, Flameworks is a thriving artist-led studio space in Devonport, Plymouth.

As a Not for not-for-profit community Interest Company, we are managed by a dedicated board of directors and volunteers, supported by two part-time staff. Our home and heart reside in a spacious industrial unit with stunning waterfront views.

WHAT DO WE DO:

Flameworks is home to 21 diverse artists practicing various disciplines, including painting, signwriting, stained glass, glass casting, jewelry making, ceramics, blacksmithing, metalwork, and more. Our vibrant community is best known for its communal forge area and ceramics workshops, fostering collaboration and creativity.

OUR MISSION:

As a non-profit organization, our priorities include providing affordable studios, education, and community engagement activities. Generously supported by Plymouth City Council, Flameworks aims to be an accessible space where artistic expression flourishes,

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

The old, patched-up flat roof is struggling to withstand Plymouth's infamous downpours, and the water is finding its way into our upstairs studios and communal ceramics workshops.

This threatens the very essence of what Flameworks stands for - a space for creativity, learning, and community.

RAIN PROOF THE ROOF

We're on a mission to raise €15,000 to repair and rainproof the roof, ensuring the longevity of our cherished space. Your generosity is not only helping fix the immediate issue but also supporting a broader range of improvements, including electrical upgrades, window replacements, and more.

YOUR IMPACT: BEYOND ADRY ROOF

By contributing, you're not just fixing a roof; you're revitalising a space for essential crafts workshops, education, and community engagement. Flameworks plays a vital role in improving participants well-being through hands-on experiences, and your support ensures we can continue this mission.
